<b>Fendermen은...</b>
Wisconsin주의 Niagara에서 1937년 11월 26일 태어난 Jim Sundquist와
같은 주의Madison 에서 같은 날 태어난 Phil Humphrey....
두 사람은 1950년대 후반에 각기 밴드를 결성해 있었지만
공통점이 있었는데 그게 바로 Fender 기타를 사용한다는 것이었다.
그들은 Madison의 Wisconsin 주립대학에서 만나자마자
그들의 밴드를 합치기로 결정하고 Jimmy Rogers 가 1931년에
만들어 취입했던 이 노래를 다시 리바이벌 하였다.
그들은 blue yodel sound 라고 불리우는 독특한 창법과
다소 거칠고도 다듬어지지 않은 사운드로 1959년 이 곡을 취입하였고
다음해인 1960년 다시 다른 회사로 옮겨 재 취입하였는데 인기가
계속 올라가 1960년 6월 차트5위까지 올랐다.
